About Moorside Community Primary School

Our School
Moorside Community Primary School

Moorside is a larger than average-sized primary school in the West End of Newcastle upon Tyne.  We are a two form entry school with up to thirty children per class from Reception to Year 6.  We also have a Pre-school for rising two year olds which has a morning and afternoon sessions and a thirty-nine place Nursery which offers part time places at different ends of the week and a small number of full time places linked to the Government criteria.  In addition to this we have recently introduced an Additionally Resourced Centre (ARC) for children with Emotional, Social or Behavioral Difficulties and specific sensory needs for children whom are on role within the school.

Our building is on one level set in rich and beautiful grounds including a meadow.  We also have a newly built module where music and other aspects of creative arts are taught.

We pride ourselves on our warm and welcoming atmosphere.  We develop and maintain excellent relationships with our families, the wider community and the other professionals we work with.

Our population is very diverse and we often have new families join us throughout the academic year from all around the world as they start a new life in the UK for varying amounts of time.
